Outfits for a formal environment
Welcome to the first of our lookbooks! This blog post will look at formal wear in a workplace environment, meaning the outfits featured will be perfect for those of you working in an office or attending interviews. Future lookbooks will look at outfits for a more relaxed working environment, or for people working from home. Keep an eye out on our IG for these posts!
So, without further ado, let’s get into it!
P.S. most of the pieces of clothing mentioned in this blog are pieces now unavailable to buy. However, many of these pieces are staples and can be purchased from most retailers, or can be found in charity shops :)
*Trousers worn throughout – H&M (old)
Black trousers are a versatile piece of clothing and should be in any formal workwear wardrobe!
Outfit 1
Outfit number one sees us pair a plain white blouse with a tan blazer, elevating the look and adding a touch of style. A white blouse is a must for any formal look, in which it can easily be put with patterned trousers, skirts or jackets.

Outfit 2
Outfit number two involves the same white blouse, this time with a plain black blazer. This blazer is slightly oversized and thicker, meaning it can be worn into the colder Autumn months.

Outfit 3
Outfit number three looks more towards formal knitwear. The black trousers are now paired with a white jumper with slightly puffed sleeves. What makes this jumper distinctive is its intricate beadwork, in which the black beads elevate the jumper and make it even more delicate and feminine.
Jumper – Mango (old)
Outfit 4
Outfit number four offers another take on knitwear, this time in the form of a knitted top. The top featured has a collar and is embellished with diamantes. The top is also extremely soft and comfortable to wear, acting as the perfect transitional piece. The knit compliments the black trousers superbly!

Accessories
Earrings 1
When showcasing these formal outfits, I wore simple (but beautiful) silver hoops. These hoops are very small and mainly hug the ear lobe; they are lightweight and comfortable to wear. These earrings come from Estella Bartlett and were a lovely graduation gift! The site offers affordable, good-quality jewellery – so you should check them out!

Earrings 2
Now these earrings are more of a statement! These beautiful earrings are clay-based and painted by hand, meaning they are incredibly unique! These earrings are great for when you want to add a pop of colour to your outfit. Sabi launches new collections every month, so keep an eye out for their next launch!
